Welcome to the first step towards completing your Adventurous Journey section of your Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award!
The key focus of this training and practice journey is to provide you with an opportunity to build on the many skills that were introduced to you during the Bronze Adventurous Journey Section OR for direct entrants to learn and develop these foundational skills ahead of your qualifier.
For this 3 day/2 night journey, participants will be exploring the history of the Kaimai Ranges & Karangahake Gorge with it’s old logging trails, mining tunnels and beautifully diverse flora/fauna.
To be eligible for the Silver Training & Practice Journey, all participants are to have successfully completed the Bronze prerequisites unless a direct entrant . This journey is the prerequisite for the Silver Qualifying Journey.
Start and Finish Times
Drop off: Friday 29th May, 7.00am at Greenlane Mcdonalds Carpark
Pick up: Sunday 31st May, 4.00pm from Greenlane Mcdonalds Carpark
