Silver – Qualifying [Tramping] — Great Barrier Island

This Silver Qualifying Journey on Great Barrier Island is a unique three-day expedition that lets you apply the skills and knowledge you developed during your Training and Practice. Throughout the journey, your group will walk, plan your route, make navigation decisions, and manage camp life together, developing confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in real expedition conditions. You will also stay in huts for both nights of this trip!

Your AdventureWorks instructor will be there to support you and offer guidance but as much as possible you and your group will be independent in navigating, making decisions and managing yourselves. You will stay in huts for both nights of this trip. 

This is a 3 day and 2 night tramping and camping event with 7 hours of activity per day. You will need to carry all your own clothing, food, gear, etc.

You must plan and bring your own food. We will send a menu ideas document to help you plan.

Drop off/pick up will be from the Sealink Ferry Terminal on Hamer Street in the CBD. 

Important: You must have completed a Silver Training & Practice Journey before undertaking this journey.
