Welcome to your first Mountain Bike Adventurous Journey! At Silver level, we seek to foster a true love of biking and support you in building a solid foundation of outdoor knowledge so you can continue exploring everything Aotearoa New Zealand and the rest of the World has to offer throughout your life!
As part of the Silver Adventurous Journey section, you and your peers will take part in an exciting Silver Practice Expedition, challenging yourselves to build on the skills you learnt from your Training Day in a 2 days/1 night time frame!
This is 2-day Mountain Biking adventure through the Woodhill Forest will give you a chance to build on and explore more of the park than at your Training Day. We will also teach some more technical skills that will set you up well for your Qualifier.
There will also be a strong focus on group management, leadership, risk management, route planning, weather monitoring and skills developed over the earlier levels of your Duke of Edinburgh.
Start and Finish Times
- Drop off time: Saturday 25th July, 8am at Bigfoot Adventures, 5/6 Argus Place, Hillcrest
- Pick up time: Sunday 26th July, 4.30pm from Bigfoot Adventures, 5/6 Argus Place, Hillcrest
