Gold – Qualifying 4 Day [Tramping]

Take the lead on your ultimate adventure! This Gold Qualifying Journey is a multi-day trip where you and your team plan, lead, and complete your own expedition. You choose your destination, map your route, and tackle challenges along the way. 4-day trips can head to anywhere within 4 hours of Auckland!To give your group enough time to plan, bookings close one month before the trip.
Around this time, we’ll connect you with your instructor and teammates and organise an in-person planning day at our Avondale base. Our experienced instructors will provide guidance and advice, but your group will be in charge, doing research, making decisions, navigating, and leading the journey yourselves. This tramp is designed to be challenging, rewarding, and completely yours to shape!

- 14 March: for the Gold Qualifying expedition 13 – 16 April
- 13 June: for the Gold Qualifying expedition 13 – 16 July
- 5 September: for the Gold Qualifying expedition 5 – 8 October
- 14 November: for the Gold Qualifying expedition 14 – 18 December (5-day option for keen beans!)
(The cost of the Gold Planning Day is included in your Gold Qualifying Journey booking.)
This is a 4 day, 3 night tramping and camping event with around 8 hours of activity per day. You will need to carry all your own clothing, food, gear, tent, etc.
You must plan and bring your own food. We will send a menu ideas document to help you plan.
Free transport is provided from our base in Avondale.
