Hi everyone,
A few important reminders and updates to help you stay on track with your Award:
Check your ORB notifications
Please check your ORB regularly, especially for messages about your journey approvals or section progress. These often include important feedback or next steps.
Revision does not mean rejection
If something is sent back for revision, it hasn’t been rejected — it just means we need a bit more information or a small adjustment so it meets the requirements.
This applies to all sections, not just journeys. We’ll always work alongside you and do our best to help get things to a point where they can be approved.
Adventurous Journeys – quick reminder
All journeys must be approved in the ORB before they take place.
If they’re not approved, they don’t count for the Award.
You can complete your journey in two ways:
- With an approved provider
- As a Plan Your Own Journey
If you're planning your own journey, remember:
- Follow all Award health and safety requirements
- Complete all planning paperwork in full (from ACORN)
- Upload everything into your ORB
- Submit for approval before you go
Please talk to us about your plans before you go ahead. We love your ideas, but they need to meet the programme requirements to count.
If something doesn’t quite meet the requirements, we will attempt to work with you to help get it to a point where it can be approved.
Accessing ACORN
If you’re an Auckland Challenge participant and can’t access ACORN, please let me know and we’ll get your login sorted.
Access ACORN
Not sure? Ask
If you’re unsure about anything, please don’t assume — ask!
We can’t answer questions we don’t know you have, and it’s much easier to help early.
Remember your SMART goals
Your goals should be:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Relevant
- Time-bound
Clear goals make approvals and sign-off much easier.
Congratulations
Well done to everyone who completed their Award this month — 17 completions!
That’s an amazing achievement and we’re really proud of you all.
If you’re ever unsure about anything, just get in touch — we’re here to help.
Kind regards,
Joanna
