Once on-site\, you’ll learn relevant kayaking\, camping\, navigation\, and weather skills in a real-world setting. This epic Gold Qualifying Journey is a multi-day trip where you and your team plan\, lead\, and complete your own expedition. You choose your destination\, map your route\, and tackle challenges along the way.5-day trips can go anywhere in the North Island! To give your group enough time to plan\, bookings close one month before the trip.  \n\n\n\nAround this time\, we’ll connect you with your instructor and teammates and organise an in-person planning day at our Avondale base. Our experienced instructors will provide guidance and advice\, but your group will be in charge\, doing research\, making decisions\, navigating\, and leading the journey yourselves. DESCRIPTION:This journey is run by AdventureWorksThis Silver Qualifying Journey is a three-day expedition that lets you apply the skills and knowledge you developed during your Training and Practice. Throughout the journey\, your group will walk\, plan your route\, make navigation decisions\, and manage camp life together\, developing confidence\, teamwork\, and problem-solving skills in real expedition conditions. \n\n\n\nYour instructor will provide guidance and ensure safety\, but the focus is on giving your group the independence to make decisions\, overcome challenges\, and work collaboratively. This journey is a rewarding way to experience the outdoors\, test your skills\, and grow in resilience and self-reliance! By the end\, you’ll have completed a memorable\, self-driven expedition and gained confidence for future adventures. \n\n\n\nThis is a 3 day and 2 night tramping and camping event with 7 hours of activity per day. You will need to carry all your own clothing\, food\, gear\, tent\, etc. \n\n\n\nYou must plan and bring your own food.
