Sailing Trust Trip – January

Fancy spending part of your summer on the water? Learn real sailing skills, work as a crew, and have an adventure you won't forget. We need 23 people to make this trip happen, and we're nowhere near that yet, so if there's any chance you could take part, we'd love to have you on board.

Cost: $1,200 per person (we'll be working to secure further funding support to help bring this down)

Spirit of Adventure – 5 Day Discovery Voyage

We're going into the ballot for 10 spaces on this voyage in 2027, a shorter taste of life at sea that's always in high demand. Think sailing, teamwork, new friends and stepping outside your comfort zone, all packed into five days.

Cost: $1,500 per person

Spirit will confirm registration details and key dates for the ballot early next term, but we want to start building our list now so we're ready to go the moment it opens. If you'd like to be included, let Kathryn know you're interested at kathryn@aucklandchallenge.org.nz.

Spirit of Adventure – 10 Day Voyage

Want the full experience? This is the real deal: sailing a tall ship, taking on leadership roles, pushing your limits and coming home with a whole new sense of what you're capable of.

"Every challenge I faced gave me a greater sense of confidence, and I am inspired to keep trying new things in my life."

New dates are now open for April to July 2027, plus a few remaining spaces in February and March. Some dates are expected to fill quickly, so it's worth getting in early.

Cost: $2,995 per participant, with a $500 deposit to secure your place

Silver Complete Journey – Hiking

More the hiking and camping type? Auckland Sea Kayaks is running a four-day hiking and camping journey at Whatipu, from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 December. Three nights under canvas, rugged coastline, and a great way to knock out a Silver Complete Journey.

Cost: $595 per person, with a $150 deposit to secure your place. Tent, sleeping pad, cooker and gas, and cooking set are all provided free, and a 60L Macpac pack is available to hire for $50 for the whole journey.
